Church Groups & Activites

Some activities listed below are meeting on-line, some have resumed at church whilst yet others remain suspended until further notice.

House Groups - meeting on line via Zoom

Various dates and times
Small groups meet in members’ homes to study topics relevant to Christians, share experiences or generally develop their Christian faith

Time for Prayer - meeting on WhatsApp

Tuesdays 8.00pm
A time for shared prayer or quiet prayer but with the fellowship of others.

Sunday Club - now meeting at church

Sundays 10.30am
The Sunday Club welcomes children from 0 to 14 years to come and learn about Jesus and what the Christian faith is all about. Worship, activities, discussion and fun are all part of the programme.

Coffee ’n Chat - now meeting at church

Tuesdays 10.30 - 12 noon
If you are lonely, want a chat or cup of coffee, or simply want to take the weight off your feet for a few minutes then pop in. You are likely to meet housewives, young mothers, men on leave from work, the retired and part-time workers. There will be all sorts of friends ready to make you welcome.

Uniformed Organsations

All are busy lively groups. The Guiding movement has its own programme of activities working for badges in different areas. In addition to this, they share in occasional Parade services and church events.

Luncheon Club - not currently meeting

Fortnightly on Fridays 12noon - 3pm A 3 course meal (at very reasonable cost) and convivial company (free) are provided for all but especially the elderly and those who live alone.

Men’s Supper Club - not currently meeting

3rd Tuesday in the month 7.00pm
A group catering for the male taste in more ways than one. A light meal cooked by members with speakers on topics of interest to all. All ages are welcome.

Frog’s Toddler Club - not currently meeting

Wednesdays 10.00 - 12.00 noon (Term time only)
This is a meeting place for young parents, grandparents, carers and their children. On Wednesday mornings coffee and conversation flow freely while children play with toys designed to meet the needs of all stages of pre-school development - £2.00 for carer and first child; 50p for each extra child. Refreshments for carers and children included. You would be most welcome!

Platform 10 3/4 - not currently meeting

Infrequently - Sunday at 8.00pm
As Harry Potter began his magic life by going through Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station, so we invite our teenagers to enter another dimension by thinking about spiritual things. A small group meets on the first and third Sunday evening of each month for activities, fun and learning.
