Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.' Luke 14:23
What is Through the Roof?
Through the Roof is a Christian disability organisation working to change attitudes in churches and wider society towards disabled people and disability. We train and equip willing churches and other organisations to include people with any disability in every area of their activities. Our vision is to make Christ's message of acceptance of everyone available to everyone affected by disability - both disabled people and their families.
Through the Roof incorporates the work of the Disabled Christians Fellowship, which was established in 1959 to provide a network of Christian fellowship groups, to offer accessible holidays and a thriving tape ministry,
Through the Roof is a Charter Partner with the world-wide organisation of Joni Eareckson Tada, an internationally known advocate for disabled people who was paralysed in a diving accident in 1967. Through the Roof brings a message of hope to disabled people and their families.
Through the Roof is a registered charity and a member of the Evangelical Alliance. We work in partnership and actively promote other Christian disability organisations, recognising that partnership is the most effective means of working to our common aims.
Through the Roof's vision is to make the Christian message of salvation through Jesus Christ available to people affected by disability, by: o equipping and training churches to make the church and its life fully inclusive of people with disabilities (Churches for All); o providing support and fellowship for disabled people and their families in the UK (Disabled Christians Fellowship) and overseas (Wheels for the World) and encouraging and equipping disabled people for leadership in the church.

Wheels for the World
Through its Wheels for the World programme, Through the Roof takes second-hand wheelchairs, arranges for them to be refurbished by prisoners in UK prisons and then takes them to developing countries with teams of therapists and technicians.
In partnership with churches and Christian organisations in these countries, the wheelchairs are given to people who would otherwise have no chance of receiving one, and the message of Christ's love is also shared with the recipients and their families.
